About Bob's Taxi

Bob’s Taxi is the largest and oldest cab company in Dartmouth. Along with our sister company, Blue Bell Taxi, we have over 185 cars in circulation. Our experienced staff and drivers provide over 500,000 rides annually. We primarily service the areas of Dartmouth and surrounding communities of Cole Harbour and Eastern Passage along with Halifax, Sackville and the County.

All our drivers must adhere to Bob’s code of conduct rules and as well complete the municipal vulnerable sector and criminal records check.

The Bob’s Taxi app is the Taxi Booking app for the city of Halifax including services to and from the Airport and all surrounding communities.

Q. Where do I write driver notes?
A. You write them under "Add Note" after Selecting Pick up and Destination locations. (any information that you think will be helpful for the driver to find you).
Q. Where do I add how I am paying?
A. You will find that under "Pay in vehicle". 4 options (Pay in Vehicle,Debit,Credit Apple pay and Google pay.
Q. I don't want a van. How do I choose just a car?
A. You would select that under "Choose your vehicle" after entering pick up and destination locations.
Q. Am I able to do in-app payment?
A. Yes, We offer In-app Payments on are customer app. Download on the apple store (IOS) or play store (Android)
Q. Can I contact the operator from my app?
A. Yes. Press the three line icon top left corner, on the bottom left side about bobs taxi click phone icon.
Q. Can I check my cab history?
A. Yes. Yes. Press the three line icon top left corner, Select "My Rides" Shows Scheduled or completed rides.
Q. Can I add my favourite places so that I don't have to type it in every time?
A. Yes. swipe up on your screen Select "favourites" bottom right corner press the + icon.
Q. Can i prebook a cab on the app?
A. Yes. after selecting Pick up and Destination locations. Bottom right corner select "Calander icon"

FAQs

Q. What does "Searching" mean after I book a taxi? Is the app not working?
A. The app is still working, it just means that it has not yet found a vehicle. Once it does, it should pop up with the car number.
Q. Where do I write driver notes?
A. You write them under "Help Driver" (any information that you think will be helpful for the driver to find you).

Q. I don't want a van. How do I choose just a car?
A. You would select that under "Car Type".

A. Sorry, not at this time.
Q. How do I put in a drop-off location?
A. At the top of the screen there is a bar that says "Destination". Touch it and another drop-down window will appear.
Q. Can I contact the operator from my app?
A. Yes. You need to touch the three lines in the top left corner (menu), then select "Call Operator".
Q. Can I check my cab history?
A. Yes. You need to touch the three lines in the top left corner (menu), then select "Bookings".
Q. Can I add my favourite places so that I don't have to type it in every time?
A. Yes. You need to touch the three lines in the top left corner (menu), then select "Favourites". This is where you can add as many locations as you would like.
Q. How do I input a door that has a letter?
A. After filling in an address, touch "More Info/Edit". Then add the letter after the number and hit "Save".
